Polyurethane concrete — often referred to as cementitious urethane or urethane mortar — is a combination of polyurethane resin, Portland cement, aggregate, and water. It is specially formulated to provide extreme resistance to thermal shock, heavy impact, and harsh chemical exposure where standard epoxy coatings fail.

While epoxy is rigid and susceptible to thermal shock cracking, polyurethane concrete expands and contracts at a rate similar to the underlying concrete substrate. This thermal flexibility allows polyurethane concrete to handle hot washdowns and steam cleaning without delaminating.

System thickness typically ranges from 3mm (1/8") for light-to-medium duty self-leveling slurries up to 6mm - 9mm (1/4" - 3/8") for heavy-duty trowel-applied mortars subjected to daily steam cleaning and heavy fork truck traffic.
